PTK inducts 10 new members

Ten students were inducted into Alpha Eta Alpha, Rose State College’s chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, on March 28.

“To recognize and achieve scholarship among” two-year college students, Caryl Gibbs, co-adviser of PTK, said.

President Emeritus and honorary PTK member James Cook was the guest speaker. “It takes hard work” to be successful in college and “it takes sacrifice,” he said.

Gibbs said 60 students accepted the most recent invitation to join PTK and was the largest response in five years. Nearly 50 people attended the ceremony.
