Bakeology club demonstrates skills with bake sale

Bakeology sale

The Bakeology Club is hosting its first ever bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 25 and Feb. 26 in the Social Sciences building.

The club is selling two types of cupcakes for $1.50 each, brownies for $1 and cookies for 50 cents.

Caitlin James, liberal studies major, is the Bakeology Club president. She started the club in Fall 2014 and is now leading its first bake sale.

James’ sister, Alexis James, psychology major is also a member of the club.

She said the bake sale isn’t just about raising money for the club. She said it is what the club is about. “We are a baking club,” Alexis James said.

Pamela Reynolds, Social Sciences professor and the Bakeology Club adviser, said the club has grown to five members and that it club is always welcoming new members.

One of the perks of baking with the Bakeology Club is the facilities available to club members. “We are using the school kitchen,” Reynolds said. Bakeology Sale

She said it gives the students a “good opportunity” to use their baking skills and work with professional equipment.

The Bakeology Club meets every Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Social Sciences room 137.
