The second annual Fall Fest, sponsored and hosted by Student Activities, held a slew of contests and activities for students and staff to enjoy Oct. 20-23.
Monday, clubs participated in coloring the sidewalks near the Student Center in chalk. Phi Theta Kappa won third place with their light bulb, the Hughes Scholars won second with their art promoting Wednesday’s Car Smash event and 15th Street News took the first-place prize with their pumpkin patch scarecrow.

More than 20 pumpkins were painted and displayed for judging Tuesday. Anime, Fandom and Gaming Club member Brooke McWilliams won first place with her Jack Skellington pumpkin.
Also on Wednesday, the second annual intramural volleyball tournament had six teams participate. Colors took first place in the final game 3-2, and previous won the flag football intramural on Oct. 8. Second place went to the Spiking Vikings and Psi Omega Phi won third. The Spiking Vikings and Spiked Punch were both teams made up of the RSC men’s soccer team.
RSC Information Technology won the Chili Cook-off unanimously with their recipe.
“It was spicy and unique,” said Kirby Harzman, coordinator of student activities.
To close out Fall Fest, students were set to gather Thursday at 7 p.m. to watch “Beetlejuice” on the big screen in the campus mall.
