The rain didn’t put a damper on Star-Spangled Music Day, celebrating 200 years of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by Francis Scott Key on Sept. 12.

The event included a performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” arranged by professor Tracey Gregg-Boothby.

The arrangement was sang by more than 300 students from Choctaw high school, Carl Albert high school, Midwest City high school, Del City high school, Moore high school, Chandler high school and Deer Creek highschool, as well as the RSC chorus.

The event was held between the Wellness Center and the Fine Arts building with high school choirs practicing beforehand all over campus as early 8 a.m.
