The Graduation Services Center will present the “What is a Degree Audit?” workshop from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the Student Center Fountain Room; also, a workshop titled “How Do I Graduate in Two Years?” will be from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the Business Building Room 209.

Graduation Services Coordinator Julie Atkinson said the degree audit workshop will inform students about course requirements for graduation and will provide an estimate of how long their degree will take to complete. It will also help ensure graduating students’ names are included in the commencement program.

DegreeAudit

All students must complete a degree audit to graduate; the request form is available in the Student Services Building room 106 or can be printed online at http://www.rose.edu/application-for-degree-audit, completed and returned to Room 106.

The “How Do I Graduate in Two Years” workshop aims to educate students about deciding on a major or degree, explains how to “get to know” their degree program’s requirements, and encourages them to plan out a schedule for completion within two years.

“Students can graduate in two years if they attend classes year-round or take more than 12 (credit) hours a semester,” Atkinson said.

The workshop will also stress becoming familiar with the college catalog since some degree requirements “change periodically,” she said, and will explain when to submit a degree audit request.

“Students have been very responsive to the information given at the workshops,” she said.
